Baby Contest - Saturday June 5, 2010

The Brown-Vernon Fire House will be filled with beautiful babies for the 16th annual baby contest. This year's contest is set for Saturday June 5th with registration beginning at 1:00 p.m. Judging will start at 2:00 p.m.

Contest is open to boy and girls ages 0 to 24 months. Judging will be based on baby's personalities.

 

Baking Contest – Saturday June 5th. 2010
 
Contestants may enter their baked goods and a copy of the recipe between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. at the Old Bank Building, Saturday June 5th.  Do not put your name on baked goods or the recipe. Categories are Homemade Cakes, Fruit Pies and Cookies. Contestants should enter a whole pie or cake or one dozen cookies. Judging will take place at 12 noon. All entries will be auctioned off Saturday afternoon at 3:15 pm following the announcement of winners.
 
All entries must be in disposable containers covered with clear plastic wrap and must not require refrigeration, for safe handling. No recipe, container or entry will be returned.
 
Cooks of all ages, from all areas are invited to enter the contest. Each contestant may enter only one item in each category, but are welcome to enter all categories.
 
Thank you to K&E Market, Campbellsburg, sponsor of the 2010 baking contest. 1st & 2nd Prizes will be awarded for each category.

Contest is open to all boys and girls ages 2 to 12. Each entrant will receive a prize for participating. The winning Cowboy and Cowgirl in each age catagory will receive a $50.00 Savings Bond.

A panel of Judges will determine the winning Cowboy and Cowgirl. Entry Fee: $5.00
 
Western wear is encouraged but not absolutely necessary

Talent Show Friday June 4th, 2010 - 6:00 PM

Entry forms for the Talent Show to be held on Friday, June 4,2010 at 6:00 PM
 
Guidelines for the Talent Show
 
  1. The Campbellsburg Festival Talent Contest will consist of three divisions:
Junior Division (ages 10 under)
 Senior Division (ages 11 to 16)
Adult (ages 17 and older)
*Duet and Group acts must compete in division determined by the age of the oldest member.
 
  1. If a contestant is under the age of 18, the entry form must be signed by a parent or guardian.
 
  1. There is a four (4) minute limit on each performance.
  1. Each contestant must provide their own compact disc, if needed for their performance. No bands are allowed.
 
  1. Age-Appropriate performances must be strictly adhered to during the competition. Dances, costumes, and music must not include inappropriate language or provocative costumes or movements. Costumes should be “age appropriate”. This event is a family affair; anyone not complying with this requirement will be disqualified.
 
  1. Prizes will be awarded in each of the three divisions:
           1st place--$50
           2nd place- $25
 
  1. A CD player and sound system will be provided.
 
  1. Professional acts are not eligible to participate.
 
  1. Entries that participate in the Talent Show will be limited to 15 contestants or less and must be pre-registered and pre-paid by May 27, 2009
